Description
TF 00 NE UFFINGTON MAIN STREET (south side) 9/254 Garden feature to demolished Uffington House G.V. II Garden feature. c.1845. Ashlar, terracotta. In the form of wall with projecting side walls, terminating in circular piers. The rear wall top is shaped with moulded copings. An oval panel bears the Bertie Arms surmounted by a coronet in terracotta. Formerly at south east corner of garden terrace to now demolished Uffington House. Source: Country Life. December 31st 1904.
