Description
TF 00 NE UFFINGTON MAIN STREET (south side) 9/251 Fountain G.V. II Fountain. 1897. Ashlar. Fountain with trough in the form of a stepped Gothic wall having roll moulded copings. At the centre a pointed arch with hollow moulded head and fleurons, above a lion head spigot. In the panel over an inscription records the inscription in the year of the Jubilee in 1897 and to either side are cross shaped arrow loops in low relief. In the taller raised centre are 2 angled shields bearing the dates 1837 and 1897. Listing NGR: TF0625707642
