Description
WESTGATE (West Side) 8/266A No. 86 Amend item and description to read to read: WESTGATE (West Side) Nos. 86 and 87 2. Early C19 or before a symmetrical pair. Brick. Two storeys. Seven flush sash windows with glazing bars, the central one blind. Each side of central arched through-passage (with mid C20 door) is later Victorian shopfront, evidently very little altered, with moulded glazing bars and corniced facia terminating in gablets crowned with balls and supported on double brackets over pilasters. Slate roof; wooden eaves cornice; quoins. Nos. 42 to 56 (consec) Nos. 77, 78, Nos.80 to 84 (consec) and No. 86 and 87 form a group. WESTGATE 1. 1146 (West Side) No. 86 SK 9135 NW 8/266A II GV 2. Early C19 or before. Brick. Slate roof. Wood eaves cornice. Two storeys. Seven windows, one blocked, flush frames, glazing bars. Modern ground floor shop windows. Centre passage archway. Nos. 42 to 56 (consec) Nos. 77, 78, Nos. 80 to 84 (consec) and No. 86 form a group. Listing NGR: SK9127935786
