Description
SK 94 SE ANCASTER MAIN STREET (west side) 6/4 Launde House 19-2-52 G.V. II House: early C18 with C19 additions; Ashlar with stone coped gables and moulded stacks, pantiled roof. Two storey with attics, plinth, first floor sill band and moulded stone cornice. Five bay front with central four panelled C19 door with plain overlight, having moulded stone surround with engaged Tuscan ¾ columns with plain hood and acroterion ornaments. Flanked by mid C19 single splayed bay windows with 3 plain sashes, having lead hipped roofs. Above a central recessed blank panel with moulded surround containing delicate carved floral ornament in a classical manner, flanked by two C19 divided sash windows in C18 moulded stone surrounds. Single C19 gabled dormer window above. Listing NGR: SK9837743835
