Description

SKILLINGTON CHURCH STREET (south side) SK 82 NE 5/126 Pigeoncote at the Abbey (formerly listed with Manor House) Listed 19.2.52 G.V. Grade II Pigeoncote. C17, altered C19. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings. Stone coped slate roofs with timber flight hole turret with hipped lead roof. 2 storey with moulded string course. To gable end a planked doorway with ashlar lintel, and in the gable a planked door in earlier window opening with cornice over. Above 3 flight holes. In the right hand side wall an original C17 opening with ashlar surround and cornice. Interior has stone ledges. Listing NGR: SK8950025872
