GEDNEY ENGINE DYKE TF 42 NW (north west side) Gedney Dyke 2/8 Seadike Mill Gedney Dyke G.V. II Tower windmill. 1836, for Mr. Rubbins. Partially tarred red brick. Moulded eaves band. Circular, 7 storeys. West side with doorway with panelled double doors with keystone inscribed 'C.I.R. 1836', over is a single window opening, a doorway with plank door and 4 window openings one above the other. The north and east sides have 6 window openings one over the other, with a doorway on the second floor, and the south side 7 window openings one over the other. All openings with segmental heads and ashlar keystones. Interior. Most milling machinery said to be intact, including 2 pairs of French and 2 pairs of grey stones. Shoot down to ground floor.
