Description
LONDON ROAD 1. 5313 (West Side) 27.7.73. No.2. (Formerly listed as the New Bell Inn under Welland Place) 2.7.74. Nos 3 and 4 TF 2421 1/123 II GV 2. Early C19 building of 2 storeys in brick. Welsh slate roof with cornice. Former Public House, at time of listing (Autumn 1973) in poor repair, has 4 windows, segmental arches with keystones, hung sashes with glazing bars. 3 to left section, which has brick band between storeys. Rendered plinth. Door to corner and door to road with wood surrounds. Panelled doors. Slightly later southern section, formerly occupied by Co-op has 3 windows with surrounds and cill tabs, hung sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor has C19 shop front and 1 window with surround and cornice. Doorway with pilasters and cornice. Passage entry. Nos 2 to 7 (consec) 7A, 8, 9 and 11 to 29 (consec) form a group.
