Description
BOSTON ROAD 5312 (North Side) Old Place. Garden wall to the south of Old Place. TF 0745 2/76 II GV 2. On the site of the Manor of Sleaford; West wall of drive contains l00 ft of mediaeval fragments, but house appears early-mid C19 'Gothick' and later.' Front elevation rendered with Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. Irregular plan. 2 windows to main elevation, arched, with 'Gothic' glazing bars, 1 window on ground floor. Stone plinth. Stone porch, very shallow, contains pointed doorway. Rear wing similar. Old Place and Nos 1 and 2 (Old Place cottages) form a group. Listing NGR: TF0759745878
