Description
TF 03 NW NEWTON AND HACEBY HACEBY 6/47 Cottage and Attached Outbuildings at Moat Farm. G.V. II Cottage. Late C17, altered early C19 and C20. Coursed squared limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, pantiled roof with single raised stone coped gable, single triple funnel ridge stack and red brick wall stack. Lobby entry plan. Single storey plus attics 4 bay front having off centre half glazed double doors covered by a C20 wooden porch with to right a single and to left a pair of 2 light sliding glazing bar sashes. All openings have timber lintels. In the roof are 2 gabled and a single flat roofed dormer with pantiled roofs and leaded cheeks. Interior retains chamfered girders, 2 C19 slate fire surrounds with plain pilasters and corbels and an early C18 raised and fielded panelled cupboard with dentillated cornice, also a smaller matching wall cupboard. To left hand gable is a 2 light ovolo moulded mullioned window with a moulded cornice. To rear is an attached range of outbuildings with pantiled roofs and single brick gable stack. There are 2 planked doors, two 2 light sliding glazing bar sashes, all with timber lintels, and 2 pairs of planked doors to the right. Listing NGR: TF0299635964
