Description

SLEAFORD TF 04 MAREHAM LANE 697/0/10014 New Quarrington 14-MAR-01 (East side) Redcroft GV II Former maltings manager's house, now house. c. 1900. Designed by A Couchman. Red brick with stone dressings, half-timbered gable, plain tile hipped roof with 2 ridge and single wall stacks. Low stone plinth, storey and cill band and over-hanging bracketed eaves. Two storey. North front has 4 window elevation with projecting 2 window centre topped with half-timbered gable. To right a segmental archway with stone hood mould and recessed panelled door. To left a 3-light mullion window with Tudor hood moulded and beyond a similar 2-light window. First floor has two 2-light mullion windows to the projecting centre, a similar window to right and a single plain sash to left. Right return has canted bay windows with hipped roof and casement windows, and to right two narrow single light windows to each floor. Rear has large square bay window with 2 single sashes each with Tudor hood moulds. This building forms an integral part of this nationally important maltings complex. Listing NGR: TF0713145196
