Description
DORRINGTON MAIN STREET TF 05 SE (north side) 4/30 Dorrington House 1.2.67 GV II Farmhouse. Late C17 and early C19. Coursed limestone rubble, and rendered brick with ashlar dressings. Slate roof with a single rendered gable stack and a single rendered ridge stack with sundial. Ashlar coped gables, the western gable surmounted by a ball finial. Flush ashlar quoins and chamfered plinth, 6 bays. 2 storey, formerly single storey, raised in rendered brick in early C19. Off-centre doorway with C20 pointed door in wooden surround, with moulded ashlar outer surround topped with an ashlar bracketed hood. To the right a pair of 2 light cross casements, with to the left a single similar window, then a gap, and beyond another pair of 2 light cross casements, all 5 of these windows have ashlar lintels with raised keystones. Above 3 irregularly spaced 2 light cross casements. Listing NGR: TF0777352924
