BELTON & MANTHORPE SK9239 MAIN STREET, Belton 1315-0/8/66 (North West side) 21/09/79 Village Cross (Formerly Listed as: VILLAGE STREET, Belton (North West side) Monument approx 20 metres south of Bede Houses) GV II Village cross. 1838. By Anthony Salvin. Ashlar. Octgonal tapered shaft with massive dogtooth ornament, with a moulded capital and tall coped finial. Broached square pedestal and square base of 3 steps. One of several estate buildings by Salvin for John, first Earl Brownlow, of Belton House.
