Description
TF 04 SW ASWARBY AND SWARBY SWARBY LANE (South side) 4/23 Farm buildings at Church Farm G.V. II Farm buildings comprising stables, loose boxes and waggon hovels. Early C19, altered C20. Red brick in English garden wall bond of 3, some coursed limestone rubble, hipped and gabled pantiled roofs. Single storey range of 12 bays with to right an attached 2 storey stable block of 6 irregular bays and dentillated eaves course. To left are 8 waggon hovels with brick and timber piers and wooden lintels. To right is a planked door flanked by louvered openings with a further opening to left. The stable block has 2 planked doors, 3 hinged lights and a fixed glazing bar light. All openings have segmental brick heads. To first floor is a pair of 2 light plain casements to the eaves. To right is a flight of ashlar steps with a wooden handrail to granary over. Included for group value. Listing NGR: TF0473440512
