In the entry for:- TIMBERLAND CHURCH LANE TF 15 NW (west side) 6/56 Clifton House 1.2.67 (formerly listed as The Lodge) - II The entry shall be amended to read: TF 15 NW TIMBERLAND CHURCH LANE (east side) 6/56 Clifton House - II NB The Lodge, listed 1.2.67, was listed in error; the intention was to list Clifton House which is a different building entirely. TIMBERLAND CHURCH LANE TF 15 NW (west side) 6/56 Clifton House (formerly listed as The 1.2.67 Lodge) - II House. c1770. Red brick with ashlar and brick dressings. Slate roof with 2 brick gable stacks. First floor and eaves brick bands, with a brick parapet with ashlar coping. Two storey, 3 bay. Central round-headed doorway with a painted ashlar surround with reeded pilasters, panel brackets and a hood. Half-glazed door with ornate fanlight. To either side are single glazing bar sashes with margin lights, and cut brick wedge lintels with ashlar keystones. Above 3 glazing bar sashes with cut brick wedge lintels. Either side of the main block are single storey lean-to with ramped brick coped parapets, each with a round-headed blank panel, that on the left rendered and painted. To the rear a lower, rendered, 2-storey wing, 4 bays with a hipped slate roof. Off-centre Classical doorcase with pediment and a panel door, and segment headed sliding sashes. Interior: Round headed moulded archway and an C18 stick baluster staircase with a segment-headed moulded archway with a keystone beneath. Most panel doors, and many cupboards survive.
