Description

ALLINGTON THE GREEN (west side) Plum Tree House (Formerly listed as Eastleigh South Cottage, Main Street) G.V. II House. C17, C18, C19. Coursed ironstone rubble, red brick, pantile roof with single brick gable stack and single brick central ridge stack. L-plan with gabled cross wing to south.2 storeys with garret over 3 bay north range. North range has a rubble plinth and blocked central doorway with C17 moulded stone lintel and sliding sash inserted beneath. Single sliding sash to north, to the south a narrow late C18 plank door inserted with sliding sash beyond. All the ground floor openings have segmental heads. 3 sliding sashes above. North return and gable of red brick. Cross wing has early C19 inserted plank door with sliding sash to north. 4 light stone mullion window above with moulded cornice. Listing NGR: SK8568740362
