Description
HARLAXTON SK8832 CHURCH STREET 1315-0/14/146 (West side) 24/09/79 No.26 Jasmine Cottage GV II Estate cottage, now house. c1800. Rendered and.whitewashesd, with ashlar dressings and hipped slate rood. Central hexagonal ashlar ridge stack. 2 storeys; 3 window range. Windows are mainly mullioned casements with leaded glazing: those to the ground floor are larger. Central single light window flanked by 2-light windows. Central flat roofed porch with pointed arched openings and inner plank door, flanked by 2-light windows. Canted ends have each a 2-light window on each floor. This building is one of those built or altered c1790-1820 by George de Ligne Gregory and altered c1820-1840 by Gregory Gregory, successive Lords of the Manor of Harlaxton.
