Description
I. 5312 MARKET PLACE (North Side ) Nos 8 and 9 (Formerly listed as . Lindum Hotel) TF 0645 1/26 16.7.49. II GV 2. Early C18, 2 storeys and 3 gabled dormers. Red brick with rusticated stone quoins and pantile roof. Stone band between storeys. Stone verges and chimney stacks to gable ends. No 8 has 4 casement windows; 2 modern hung sashes to right, straight brick arches with plain stone keystones. No 8 has modern ground floor with infill in stone coloured brick. No 9 has 1 window with keystone on ground and modern door with keystone. Stone plinth. Dormers have 2 C19 casements and 1 cl8 sliding sash, broken pediment. Nos 7 to 12 (consec), Parish Church of St Denys, Vicarage, Lock-up and War Memorial all form a group. Listing NGR: TF0683845924
