Description

TF 06 NW BRANSTON & MERE BLOXHOLM LANE 1/1 Mere Hall Farmhouse 22.5.85 II Manor House. Early C19. Coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Slate hipped roof with white brick stacks, deep overhanging eaves. Two storey. Three bay. Central doorway with wooden gabled porch and C20 door. Either side single splayed bay windows with glazing bar sashes. Above 3 glazing bar sashes, with ashlar lintels. Earlier wing to rear. On site of medieval hospital of the Knights Hospitallers founded circa 1240. (The above mentioned buildings were listed, in error, under. the C.P. of Bracebridge Heath, by List No. 62, dated 22 May 1985. They have now been deleted from the List for Bracebridge Heath, and have been listed under the correct C.P. of Branston & Mere). Listing NGR: TF0083765270
