Description
ASGARBY AND HOWELL HOWELL TF 14 NW 3/12 The Old Rectory 4/2/88 II Former. rectory, now house. Late C17, re-fronted late C18, altered C20. Coursed limestone ashlar front, yellow brick and coursed limestone rubble to rear, pantiled roof with raised stone coped gable, 2 yellow brick gable stacks. L-plan. 2 storey, 3 bay front with chamfered plinth and first floor cill band. Central C20 glazed door with plain overlight, flanked by single double French doors, all covered by a C20 wooden verandah with latticed supports. To first floor are 3 plain sashes with C20 louvres. All openings have splayed ashlar lintels with fluted keyblocks. The right hand rear wing has 3 glazing bar sashes to each floor with splayed ashlar lintels and plain keyblocks.
