TF 03 NE ASWARBY AND SWARBY ASWARBY PARK 7/4 Pair of Pillars II A pair of pillars. Mid C18. Built as part of Aswarby Park Estate for Whichcote family. Limestone ashlar. The Doric pillars are some 12 yds. apart and have square base blocks, rolled bases, tapering entasised shafts and plain cornices supporting single boar's heads, the Whichcote crest. The pillars marked the grand axis of the demolished house. Listing NGR: TF0668339944
