Description
LINCOLN SK9771NE STEEP HILL 1941-1/9/341 (West side) 02/10/69 No.10 GV II House. Mid C18, with mid C19 alterations. Brick, whitewashed, with plain tile roof and 2 gable stacks. Corbelled eaves cornice, first floor band to right of the door, brick coped gables. 2 storeys plus attics, 3 bays. Front has a near-central wooden doorcase with pilasters and entablature, and a part-glazed 6-panel door. On either side, an unusual square wooden oriel window with cornice and round headed glazing bar lights, that to left with triple lights, that to right with double lights. Beyond, to left, a half-glazed segment headed doorway to the basement. Above, a central cross casement with rubbed brick head, flanked by single square corniced wooden oriel windows with 2-light casements. Above again, 3 segment headed dormers with C20 casements.
