Description
LINCOLN SK9871NW POTTERGATE 1941-1/10/306 (East side) 08/10/53 No.2 GV II House. C16, probably incorporating part of a late medieval rear wing, extensively remodelled early C18, and raised early C19. Dressed stone, ashlar and brick, with stone dressings and gabled and hipped plain tile roofs with 2 gable and single ridge stacks. Plinth and chamfered eaves. 2 storeys plus attics, 3 bays. L-plan. Windows are mainly glazing bar sashes. Street front has a central reeded wooden doorcase with pediment and panelled door, flanked by single sashes. Above, 3 similar sashes, all renewed. Above again, an off-centre gabled through-eaves dormer with a sash. South gable has a hipped lean-to addition, 2 storeys, 2 bays, with 2-light casements. Above again, a segment headed sash. INTERIOR has reused moulded spine beams, C16, and a panelled room, C18.
