Description
BAUMBER STOURTON PARK TF 27 NW 2/9 Stourton Old Hall Ruin II Fragmentary ruin of country house. C16 with C18 alterations. Red brick in English bond, with diaper work, ashlar quoins and dressings, no floors or roof timbers survive. 2 chambers with central hearth remain. 2 storeys with moulded ashlar plinth, the openings have lost their shape although some stones of ashlar moulded surrounds survive. The house was deserted by 1810 when the Livesey family bought the Estate and built the new Hall in Stourton Park. Listing NGR: TF2174575555
