Description
HORNCASTLE WHARF ROAD (north side) Roman wall now in Lobby of Public Library TF 2569 6/117 7.12.66 Grade I Section of south curtilage wall of Roman settlement. Late C3-mid C4. Spilsby sandstone rubble. Stretch of rubble core of wall approximately 18 metres long and approximately 1.2-1.5 metres high. The Public Library, built c.1968, is of no special architectural interest.
