Description
TF 2569 HORNCASTLE WEST STREET (south side) 6/104 No.63, (formerly listed as Grammar School 20.7.71 House) II School, now house. Mid C18, late C18, mid C19. Red brick and colourwashed brick. Slate and pantile roofs with stone coped gable to south west, decorative eaves, 3 gable stacks and single ridge stack. T-plan. 2 storey, 4 bay early C18 colourwashed west front plus 2 late C18 bays to south-west and single 3 storey plain brick mid C19 projecting bay to north-east. Doorway to left with simply moulded doorcase, blind traceried overlight and panelled door. Doorway flanked by single tripartite glazing bar sashes with a doorway beyond to right with plain moulded doorcase and panelled door. Rectangular blind opening beyond. 4 glazing bar sashes above with segmental heads, 2 blind rectangular openings to right, with segmental heads, and single glazing bar sash in projecting bay to left with another glazing bar sash immediately above, both with segmental heads.
