Description
TF 2669 HORNCASTLE QUEEN STREET (west side) 7/81 Nos. 26 and 28 II 2 houses. c.1825, C20. Chequered red and paler red brick, painted stucco dressings. Concrete tiled roof with wooden eaves, single ridge stack and 2 gable stacks. 2 storeys, 5 bay front with central carriage archway with basket arch, lintel with imposts, voussoirs and raised keystone, double plank doors. Carriage arch flanked by single doorway, both with flanking Doric columns, entablature, moulded cornice, moulded inner doorcase, that to the left with overlight and partially glazed door, that to the right with traceried overlight and panelled door. Single window beyond each doorway, both glazing bar sashes with 3 glazing bar sashes above. All the windows with voussoired wedge lintels and raised keystones.
