Description
SOUTH THORESBY CHURCH LANE TF 47 NW (west side) 2/36 Old Rectory G.V. II Former rectory, now house. 1853, by S. S. Teulon. Red brick with orange red brick bands and lozenges, ashlar dressings, slate roofs, with red brick wall stacks. 2 storey, irregular 3 bay front, the left hand bay is advanced with tumbled gables, the central bay is slightly advanced and surmounted by a shouldered and facetted wall stack. The right hand bay a 2 storey polygonal bay window with facetted pointed roof. Central planked door with 4 centred facetted brick arched surround, covered by a gabled brick porch with facetted 4 centred ashlar outer arch. To left a canted bay window with cross mullioned lights and hipped slate roof. To right the polygonal bay window also with cross mullioned lights and flush brick lozenge panels. To first floor are 2 cross mullioned windows with brick relieving arches. The side front has 2 three and 3 four light cross mullioned windows with brick relieving arches and herringbone tympanum.
