Description
SOMERSBY HOLBECK MANOR DRIVE (east side) TF 37 SW 2/74 Gateway in the grounds of Holbeck Manor II Gateway and railings. Late C17 and C19. Ashlar and wrought iron. Tiled gable. Semi-circular continuous moulded architrave. Wrought iron gate. Either side are fluted Ionic pilasters set onto high plinths and with single pair of dosserets supporting a modillion pediment. Either side are lower C19 wrought iron railings terminating in plain rectangular ashlar piers. Moved from Eastage House, Lincoln. Holbeck Manor is not included in this list. Pevsner, N.
