Description
HARRINGTON CHURCH LANE TF 37 SE (east side) 3/35 Hovenden Manor II Rectory, now house. 1854, by S. S. Teulon. Red brick with some use of C18 brick, ashlar dressings. Plain and fish scale tiled roof. 2 red brick gable stacks. Left gable with some tumbling. Set on a plinth. 2 storeys, 3 bays, the right single bay half hipped and the left single bay gabled with tumbling. Single projecting canted bay with hipped roof, roof broken by the first floor opening, with single 3 light cross casement to the front and single similar single light windows to each side. To the right is a single small casement and on the far right a single arched window with 3 triangular arched lights and single transom, all windows ashlar with ashlar surrounds. Above are 2 ashlar cross casements with flush ashlar quoin surrounds and single central large casement with single mullion, 2 transoms and flush ashlar quoin surround. The single outer first floor windows with pointed relieving arches. In the apex of the single left bay is a single roundel containing sexfoil. To the rear are various 2 storey wings with windows in ashlar surrounds. Lean-to porch with plain tile roof and low red brick wall surmounted by open traceried woodwork. Inner pointed arched doorway.
