Description
HAINTON SIXHILLS LANE TF 18 SE (west side) 2/17 Stable block to Hainton Hall 9.3.67 G.V. II Stable block. c.1807, possibly by Peter Atkinson. Colourwashed rendering with colourwashed, rendered ashlar dressings. Low flanking hipped slate roofs with higher slate roof with stone coped gables. 2 storeys, 11 bay front with central pedimented bay with greyhound motif and 5 central bays projecting slightly and flanked by single giant order pilasters. Central doorway with segmental head, double plank doors and ashlar string course at shoulder level, to left and right. 2 flanking, segmentally headed doorways with double plank doors to left and right. 3 doorways beyond to right with flat heads and plank doors, 3 doorways beyond to left, that in the centre with plank door, those flanking, blocked. Central square glazing bar sash flanked by 2 square glazing bar sashes on each side. 3 lunettes over 3 lower bays to both left and right. Listing NGR: TF1807284428
