Description
TF 04 SE ASWARBY AND SWARBY SCREDINGTON ROAD (North side) 5/17 Elms Farm House II Farmhouse. 1848. Built for the Whichcote family of Aswarby Park.Red brick in Flemish bond, slate roofs with a pair of brick gable stacks having dentillated ashlar cornices. L-plan. 2 storey 3 bay front, the centre bay is advanced with an open dentillated pediment and there is a dentillated eaves course. Central semi circular headed doorway with ashlar key and impost blocks contains a 6 panelled door with traceried overlight. Flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To first floor are 3 similar windows. All windows have cambered brick arched heads with flush splayed ashlar lintels. In the central gable is an ashlar plaque bearing the date 1848 in raised letters. Listing NGR: TF0749940176
