Description
The following building shall be added: TF 58 SW MABLETHORPE AND SUTTON FURLONGS ROAD, Sutton-On-Sea (west side) 1103- /6/10001 Marsoville GV II Holiday cottage. 1901. Constructed using 2 Great Eastern railway carriages. Timber with pantile roof and external brick stack to rear. Entrance front has 5 arch open wooden verandah with splat balusters to eitherside, and diamond glazed panels at the sides. Above a 3-light casement window in the gable. Each side has a carriage front with 5 former doors and 2-light windows between. Rear facade has a central wooden canted bay window with plain sashes and a hipped plain tile roof. Above a triangular window on each side at the base of the gable, and a central 2-light casement window above. This is a very early, important and well preserved example of holiday cottage constructed with disused railway carriages. Listing NGR: TF5243481481
