Description
TF 36 SW EAST KIRKBY SPILSBY ROAD (north side) 1/16 East Kirkby Windmill II Tower windmill. Built for William Thimbleby in 1820 by the millwright Sam Ward and completed by Oxley of Alford. Red brick, some blue brick. Raised eaves band. 6 storeys. To the south and north are single doorways and to the east and west single window openings. Each floor above with 4 window openings, apart from the first floor east which has no opening. The openings of the top 2 floors are smaller. All openings under segmental arches.
