Description

HAINTON SIXHILLS LANE TF 18 SE (west side) 2/16 Lodge to Hainton Hall with gateway and flanking walls II Lodge with gateway, wall and railings. Mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble, limestone ashlar dressings. Slate roofs with stone coped gables and finials. Lead ogee cupolaed polygonal turret with finial. 2 ridge stacks with tall quadrupartite shafts with moulded bases. L-plan with small turret set in re- entrant angle. 2 storey, single bay fronts. Plinth, quoins and moulded first floor band. South front with splayed bay windows with 2 narrow casements and single flanking narrow casements. Casement with moulded cornice above. Heneage coat of arms in gable. Turret in re-entrant angle with doorway below to south, with 4 centred head and deep set plank door. Casement to east with moulded cornice. Moulded string course and polygonal turret above with small fixed window to south. East front with 2 upper, narrow casements with moulded cornices. Heneage coat of arms above in gable. Gateway to south with 2 limestone rubble gate piers with ashlar dressings, high stepped plinths, arched panels and polygonal upper sections. Cast iron gates. Low curving walls to north and south with cusped, round headed cast iron railings. Listing NGR: TF1832584413
