Description

TF 58 SW MABLETHORPE AND SUTTON MAIN STREET (north side) Trusthorpe 6/17 31.5.66 Trusthorpe Hall G.V. II Small country house, now flats. Early C19. Brown brick with stucco dressings, hipped slate roof and 2 ridge stacks. L-plan. 2 storey 5 bay front, arranged 2:1:2, the broad centre say and angle pilasters are slightly advanced. Central tripartite doorway, 6 panel door with sidelights and traceried fanlight, having dentillated segmental open pediment supported on carved brackets above pilasters, flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes. To first floor are 4 similar windows and at the centre a tripartite window with fanlight having a concentric moulded stucco head with impost blocks bearing lions heads and keyblocks decorated with foliage. All windows have splayed rusticated stucco lintels with fluted keyblocks. To right hand side front is a splayed bay window with glazing bar sashes and dentillated cornice. To right at the rear is a slightly later projecting block in red brick, with parapet, of 4 bays and 2 storeys. Central half glazed door with to left semi-circular headed opening with key and impost blocks and to right 2 glazing bar casements. To first floor a Venetian window with semi-circular arch over having fluted keystone and plain imposts. Interior retains dog leg stair with slender turned balusters and carved string.
