Description
TF 03 NW BRACEBY AND SAPPERTON MAIN STREET (north side) 3/4 Braceby 19.2.52 Braceby Manor Farm House G.V. II Farm house; 2 C17 phases with later dated 1653, with C19 additions. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins. Pantile roof with stone coped gables and moulded stacks and one similar ridge stack. T-plan with staircase block to rear. 2 storey with garret, 6 bay facade with plinth. Off-centre plain wooden door with small glazed opening with low 4 centre arched head covered by flat hood mould with label stops. Over door a datestone inscribed "LT 1653". To left four 3-light mullioned windows and to right a single 4-light mullioned window. First floor has six 3-light mullioned windows. All windows have moulded cornices and iron casements. Between the 3rd and 4th bays a C14 stone finial has been incorporated into the wall. There are several reused mullioned windows in the C19 rear extension and the staircase block also has mullioned windows. Interior has a C17 stone fireplace with four centred arch and moulded surround. Listing NGR: TF0162735435
