TF 2569 HORNCASTLE HIGH STREET (north side) 6/42 Nos. 14, 16 and 18 (Trustee Savings Bank 7.12.66 Kelsey, Butchers, Poyntons Shoe Shop) G.V. II House, now 3 shops with accommodation above. Mid C18, early C19, C20. Red brick. Hipped pantile roof with decorative eaves, 2 ridge stacks and single projecting stack to rear. 3 storey, 9 bay south front with first and second floor bands, and the 3 central bays projecting slightly with dentillated pediment above. C20 marble shop front of 3 bays to right. Early C19 shop front to left with central doorway with three-quarter glazed door. Flanking shop windows to the right of 2 lights, to the left of plate glass, with flanking pilasters, continuous bracketed entablature above with projecting cornice. Blocked window to left with segmental head. Plain sash beyond, with segmental head. Early C19 shop front to left with canted shop window to right of 3 lights in narrow angled light to right. Fielded panelling below, ornate bracketed entablature above. Doorway on south-west corner with blind overlight and deepset glazed door. 9 windows above with 3 glazing bar sashes to right, 4 plain sashes to left with 2 glazing bar sashes beyond. 9 small glazing bar sashes above. All the windows with segmental heads. West front of 3 storeys and 4 bays with first and second floor bands. Early C19 canted shop window to right with 3 lights flanked by single lights, fielded panelling below and bracketed entablature above. Another early C19 shop front to left with doorway to right with flanking pilasters, overlight and panelled door. Canted shop window to left with flanking pilasters, fielded panelling below and bracketed entablature above. 2 glazing bar sashes above alternate with 2 blind panels with 2 smaller blind panels above, flanked by single smaller outer glazing bar sashes.
