Description
BOSTON TF3244SE WIDE BARGATE 716-1/7/214 (North West side) 27/05/49 No.20 Trustee Savings Bank GV II House, now bank. Built c1790 for Samuel Tunnard. Altered 1967 and all that remains is the front facade. Red brick in Flemish bond, hipped slate roof with lead dressings. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 5-bay front arranged 2:1:2 the centre bay slightly advanced. Low plinth, stucco sill bands to each floor, dentilled wooden eaves cornice. Central panelled door up 3 steps, set with traceried fanlight, panelled reveals and Tuscan wooden doorcase, with dentilled open pediment. Flanked by single glazing bar sashes. To 1st floor 5 similar windows, and above 5 smaller similar windows. All windows have rubbed brick arches with fluted keystones. INTERIOR: not inspected. Listing NGR: TF3290944363
