Description
BOSTON TF3243NE SOUTH SQUARE 716-1/10/164 (East side) 27/05/49 No.7 GV II House. Late C18 later C19 alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond, hipped plain tiled roof with lead dressings, valley stack. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys plus attics, 2-bay front with rendered plinth and moulded and modillion eaves cornice. To ground floor 2 plain sashes, to 1st floor a pair of very tall glazing bar sashes, to 2nd floor 2 plain sashes deepened C19. In the roof a divided sash dormer with gabled lead roof and cheeks. Side front of 2 bays with to right a 6-panel door with 3-paned overlight, set in doorcase with narrow pilasters, bracketed pedimented. To left a plain sash, with above a similar window and to right a glazing bar sash. To 2nd floor 2 plain sashes. All windows have rubbed brick wedge lintels. INTERIOR: retains stick baluster stair up 4 flights, with carved string and ramped handrail on turned newels. Panelled doors throughout. Listing NGR: TF3286943740
