Description
This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 13/04/2016. The address was changed from 6 and 8 Eastgate to 6 Eastgate. The opening sentence of the list description was amended to 'Formerly 3 cottages, later 2.' EASTGATE (South Side) Nos 6 and 8 TF 0645 1/13 II Grade GV Formerly 3 cottages, now 2. Early C19, in red brick, on earlier core. 2 storeys. 5 windows, segmental arches, hung sashes with-glazing bars. 3 windows on ground floor and shop window with glazing bars under cornice. 3 brick stacks. Stone plinth with foot scrapers. High reeded wood doorcases. Door to former No 4 now blocked. Dutch door to shop. Blocked 4-light mullioned window in stone side wall of former No 4. Nos 2 to 8 (even) and Carre's Hospital form a group Listing NGR: TF0697645897
