LINCOLN SK9771SW NEWLAND 1941-1/11/295 (South side) 15/08/73 Nos.78-88 (Even) and attached railings II Terrace of 6 houses, now houses, surgeries and offices, and attached railing. Early C19. Brick with stucco front and dressings and hipped slate roof with 3 ridge and single side wall stacks. Plinth, moulded first floor band and eaves cornice. 3 storeys, 11 bays. The entrances to Nos 82 and 84 are under the carriage arch. North front has a projecting centre, 3 bays, with pediment, and with pilasters to the ground floor. Central round headed carriage arch with keystone and imposts, flanked by single canted bay windows. Beyond, in the return angle, corniced porches with single square Doric pilasters. Beyond, on either side, 2 canted bay windows with sashes and beyond them, projecting porches with cornices and square Doric pilasters. All doors have 6 moulded panels and fanlights. Above, 11 glazing bar sashes with moulded surrounds and cornices. Above again, 11 smaller sashes. Rear has scattered fenestration with segmental heads. INTERIOR not inspected.
