Description
BOSTON TF3243SE LONDON ROAD 716-1/14/84 (West side) 14/02/75 No.12 (Formerly Listed as: LONDON ROAD (West side) No.12 (The Old Vicarage)) GV II Vicarage, now flats. Late C18, altered C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, hipped slate roof with tall wall stack to left-hand end. EXTERIOR: 3-storey, 6-bay front, with moulded wooden eaves cornice. The centre bay breaks forward and contains a C19 panelled door with overlight, in a pedimented moulded doorcase, with panelled reveals and carved brackets, flanked by pairs of sashes. To the right, the 6th bay contains a circular window with terracotta surround with large triple keystone. To first floor 5 sashes and a circular window. To second floor 3 smaller sashes, two 2-light casements and a further circular window. All sash/casements have rubbed brick arches with fluted keystones. INTERIOR: not inspected. HISTORY: this was the vicarage for the Skirbeck Quarter. Listing NGR: TF3262843225
