Description
BOSTON TF3243NE HIGH STREET 716-1/10/55 (West side) 14/02/75 Nos.89 AND 91 GV II Pair of houses now house and shop with flat above. Early C17 origins, altered C19 and C20. Rendered brickwork, steeply pitched pantile roofs, coped gable, brick gable stack. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attics, 4-bay front with moulded eaves fascia. Low central archway to through passage. To left a small C19 shop front with thin moulded pilasters with paterae and modern glazing. To right a wooden shop front with central doorway and timber fascia. To first floor three C20 cross casements and to right a 3-light casement. 3 modern flat-roofed dormers. INTERIOR: retains some moulded beams. HISTORY: the buildings were badly fire damaged in 1990 and so little of internal note remains. Listing NGR: TF3272043592
