Description
SWINSTEAD HIGH STREET TF 0022-0122 (south side) 15/218 No.27 G.V. II House. C16 and C17, altered late C18 and C20. Squared and coursed limestone rubble, ashlar quoins and dressings, steeply pitched gabled and hipped pantile roof with single axial stack having stone base and brick top. Lobby entry plan. Single storey with attics, irregular 6 bay front having central C20 door with to left a fixed glazing bar light with moulded round arched top and hood and chamfered reveals to original C16 doorway. Beyond a 2 light glazing bar sliding sash window and a top hung glazing bar light. To right of door a canted bay window having ovolo moulded stone mullions and low hipped lead roof, and beyond a 3 light casement. Windows have deep stone lintels with keystones. To first floor a single 3 light plain casement to eaves and in the roof a raking dormer with fixed glazing bar light and rendered cheeks. Listing NGR: TF0168022502
