Description
LINCOLN SK9771SE HIGH STREET 1941-1/12/167 (East side) 15/08/73 Nos.305 AND 306 II Shop and offices. 1900, with mid C20 alterations. By William Watkins of Lincoln for Brown, Hewitt & Co. Brick with terracotta dressings and slate roof with 2 panelled side wall stacks. Flemish Renaissance Revival style. Giant pilasters, those at the angles with domed finials, enriched moulded cornice and coped gable. 4 storeys plus attics, 3 bays. Windows have terracotta mullions and transoms. C20 shopfront, 2 storeys, has a fascia with a full width glazed panel above it. Above, 2 floors, each with a 4-light window flanked by single crested bow windows, 2 storeys. Attic gable has a 4-light ogee headed window with a blind arcade above it, and a latticed round headed opening in the gable peak, all flanked by pilasters with domed finials. INTERIOR not inspected.
