Description
TF 3239-3339 FRAMPTON MIDDLEGATE ROAD (north side) 15/64 Manor House G.V. II Farmhouse. Mid C18 with C19 rear extension and minor C20 alterations. Red brick in Flemish bond, slate roof with 2 brick gable and single ridge stacks. 2 storey, 4 bay front with first floor band, dentillated and moulded wooden eaves. Front is arranged 1:1:2, the second entry bay being slightly advanced. Half glazed C20 door with traceried overlight. Wood panelled surround with narrow flat lead hood. To left a single and to right 2 plain sashes. To first floor are 4 similar windows all having segmental brick heads. Interior. Retains 2 contemporary fireplaces, possibly re-sited, one an early C18 bolection moulded type, the other later C18 with a fluted keystone. A semi-circular headed niche. The dogleg staircase has knopped and turned balusters with moulded handrail. At the left hand end a large elliptical arched fireplace flanked by semi-circular openings. Listing NGR: TF3261539220
