Description
FOLKINGHAM WEST STREET TF 0633-0733 (north side) 2/100 Stableblock to Greyhound Inn Antique Shop G.V. II Stableblock with cart shed. C17, remodelled c.1790. Limestone rubble and ashlar, red brick, some wood. Pantile roofs with stone coped gables and brick decorated eaves. U-plan. Central west range with 3 bay cart shed with wooden lintel and 2 wooden posts. Red brick above with single central window slightly gabled shuttered opening. North side of 2 storey, 4 bay south range with red brick first floor band with 2 doorways alternating with 2 windows. Both doorways with red brick quoined surrounds, ashlar keystones and plank doors. Both windows with ashlar surrounds, segmental heads and glazing bar casements. 2 shuttered openings with segmental heads, above. South side of 2 storey, 4 bay north range with red brick first floor band with 2 doorways alternating with 2 windows. Both doorways with red brick quoined surrounds, ashlar keystones and plank doors. Both windows with ashlar surrounds, segmental heads and glazing bar casements. 2 shuttered openings with segmental heads, above. Western gable ends of north and south ranges each with red brick first floor band and single shuttered opening above with red brick segmental heads and raised ashlar keystones.
