Description
This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 08/06/2017 Address changed from 30, The Market Place to 30 Market Place. FOLKINGHAM THE MARKET PLACE TF 0633-0733 (east side) 2/88 No.30 G.V. II House with shop, now house. Early C18, mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble. Slate roof with gable stacks. 2 storey and attic, 4 bay front. C19 shop front with doorway to right with flanking doric pilasters and double, three-quarter glazed doors. Rectangular fixed window with large glazing bars to right, with doric pilaster beyond. Section of rubble wall to left with 4 light window beyond, flanked by doric pilasters, and with large glazing bars including small upper casement. 4 two light casements above with rectangular stone lintels. 3 gabled dormer windows with ornate barge boards and 2 light casements.
