Description
This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 08/06/2017 Name and address changed from Five Bell Restaurant, The Market Place to 28, Market Place. Opening sentence amended to 'House now care home.' from 'House now restaurant.' FOLKINGHAM THE MARKET PLACE TF 0633-0733 (east side) 2/87 Five Bells Restaurant G.V. II House, now restaurant. C17, late C18, C20. Coursed limestone rubble, partially rendered, painted stucco dressings. Slate roof, hipped to south, with stone coped gable to north. Single ridge stack. T plan. 3 storey, raised in C18, 4 bay front with 3 C20 glazing bar sashes to right, that to left inserted in blocked doorway. All with painted stucco wedge lintels. Large C20 polygonal bay window to left with 6 narrow glazing bar casements. 4 glazing bar sashes above with 4 smaller glazing bar sashes above, all with painted stucco wedge lintels. Doorway to rear.
