Description
This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 11/04/2017 Name and address changed from The Vintage Bazaar, The Market Place to 22 Market Place. FOLKINGHAM THE MARKET PLACE (east side) The Vintage Bazaar (formerly listed as No 18) TF 0633-0733 2/85 30.10.68 GV II House with shop. 1801, C20. Red brick, coursed limestone rubble, some colourwashed render. Pantile mansard roof with stone coped gables, decorated eaves and with single gable stack and single ridge stack to rear. L-plan. 2 storey and attic, single bay front. C20 shop front with deepset doorway to left with panelled door and 2 fixed shop windows to right, with 4 panes of glass each. Single glazing bar sash above with wooden lintel. Single flat headed dormer window with small glazing bar sash. North gable with datestone inscribed: "J.B. 1801". Cottage attached to rear of 3 bays with doorway to right with partially glazed door. 2 plain sashes to left, and 2 two light sliding sashes above. Wooden lean-to veranda in front.
